CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION 'CLAT' (COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST)
An informative and interesting counselling session on 'CLAT' i.e, Common Law Admission Test was conducted by Ms. Noopur Mittal & Mr. Gautam Goyal on 21. April 2018 for students of class X & XII. The students were apprised about career opportunities in the ever evolving field of Law. They were informed in detail about the 19 National Law Universities in India and detailed structure of the CLAT. Mr. Gautam Goyal answered the queries of the students and the session proved to be a fruitful one as it enlightened the students about the various career opportunities in the field of law and guided them on how to prepare themselves for CLAT and various other entrance examination

INTER HOUSE DISPLAY BOARD COMPETITION
An Inter House Display Board Competition was held on 13th Apr, 2018 to celebrate World Heritage Day. The participants of all the four houses displayed their aesthetic skills decorated the boards on the theme World Heritage. Beautifully they showcased their creativity & innovation. The results are as follows:

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON WORLD EARTH DAY
A special assembly on World Earth Day was conducted in school premises on 18th Apr, 2018 by students of XII Commerce. The assembly commenced with a prayer followed by thought, News & pledge. Students of XII Commerce beautifully conveyed the message of need & importance to save Earth through a skit. The students laid emphasis to faster environmental stewardship.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY-BAISAKHI
The festival of Baisakhi was celebrated on 13th April, 2018 with zest and zeal on the campus of APS Bathinda. A special assembly was organized by the students of XII Arts & VI-H. Assembly commenced with prayer followed by thought and news. Mrs. Harpreet Kaur enlightened the students about the religious, historical & economical value of Baisakhi. Folk songs sung by Mrs. Nisha Walia & Mr. Tejpal Singh added more fervour to the celebrations. Students of class VI-H depicted the cultural heritage of Baisakhi through a skit. There was great enthusiasm among the students when they performed the bhangra. Teachers added more gaiety & fun to the celebrations when they too joined the students in celebrations. The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise students of their rich culture & heritage through festivals.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY (WORLD HERITAGE DAY)
A special assembly was conducted by the students of class XII Arts on the occasion of World Heritage Day, so that students gain insight about the rich heritage of their country & world. The assembly began with a prayer followed by thought and news. Students expressed their views on the importance of World Heritage Day. A skit was also performed to convey the message of putting in efforts to preserve our historical relics & monuments.

MOTIVATIONAL TALK ON PROSPECTS OF JOINING INDIAN ARMY
A motivational talk by Resource person from Army was organized on 10th April, 2018 in the school premises for class XII students. The aim of the session was to motivate the children and acquaint them with career prospects in the Indian Army. The Role of Organization of Indian Army, Pre Commissioning Training Academics, Awards & Honours, Emoluments, Entry Schemes & Professional Institutes for Higher Education were highlighted during the session.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON THE FIRST DAY OF NEW SESSION 2018-19
A special assembly organized by the students of class XII Science marked the beginning of the new Academic session 2018-19, on April 03, 2018. The assembly commenced with Gayatri Mantra followed by the morning prayer and a motivational thought by Jadhav Smita Hanmant. An inspiring poem was recited by Sujitha, reminding the students to make the best of life and live it meaningfully. School Principal, Ms. Anisha Ghuman addressed the students and encouraged them to study sincerely and perform to the best of their abilities. The assembly, hosted by Anshika and Kannan Rohan, was concluded with the National Anthem.

CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION FOR CLASS X
A career counselling session was organized in the school premises for students of class X & their parents by FUEL (Friends Union For Energising Lives). The session focused on various career prospects for the students based on their aptitude, interest, soft skills etc. The counsellors guided the students about different streams available and building successful career.

WORKSHOP ON NATIONAL MEASLES - RUBELLA IMMUNISATION CAMPAIGN

A workshop on National Measles - Rubella Immunisation Campaign was organized on 24th March, 2018 in school premises for the teachers. Workshop was aimed to enlighten the teachers about the objectives of the campaign, how to create awareness among the parents and the students regarding the campaign, its implementation & follow up.

INTERACTIVE SESSION ON AUTISM
An interactive session on Autism was conducted for the teachers of APS Bathinda on 8th March, 18 by an Army Resource person. The interaction was very fruitful as it gave an insight to the different perspectives about children with special needs. The highlights of the session were Inclusive Schooling advocated by CBSE, Management Problems, Benefits of Inclusive Schooling, Making Classroom Inclusive, interesting & stimulating. It also focused on Army Initiative towards Autism. The session was highly informative thereby leading to more awareness about Autism.
VIDEO CONFERENCE FOR CLASS X
A video conference was held in APS Bathinda on 5th Feb,2018 for class X, where 50 students participated. APS Bangalore was instrumental in the Video Conferencing as equivalent students of class X of APS Bangalore took active participation in the discussion. The topic for discussion was Board Exams & perspectives related to it. Students of both the schools shared their views regarding the role of parents, teachers, peer pressure & stress related to it. Students were quite vocal about the study habits, time management reference books to be consulted & Sample papers to be practiced. Students were keen to know how to improve the concentration & how to take exams as an opportunity of self-growth. A very fruitful interaction between the students.
